DK40 is a mine-used counter-rotating axial flow fan (corresponding national standard model is FKCDZ), a new generation of energy-saving main/auxiliary ventilation equipment for mines. It is widely used for ventilation on the surface or underground in metal and non-metal mines, and can also be used for air exchange in tunnels and large factories.
DK40 Mine Axial Flow Fan: Core Structure and Principle of Main Mine Fan
1. Counter-rotating dual-stage design: Two motors of the same power are directly connected to two counter-rotating impellers, eliminating the need for long shafts or belt drives; C-4/Ⅱ type three-dimensional flow twisted wing blades are used, with adjustable angles; a steady-flow ring is built into the air duct to prevent surging, and the characteristic curve has no hump.
2. Reverse air flow: No reverse air duct is required; simply reversing the direction of rotation can achieve a reverse air flow efficiency of over 60%.
3. Materials: The shell is made of Q235 steel plate welding, and the blades are hollow steel plates with alloy blade shafts, which are resistant to underground blasting shock waves, moisture-proof and corrosion-resistant.
DK40 Mine Axial Flow Fan, Main Fan for Mine ShaftsModel and Key Parameters
• Mainly divided into two series: DK40-6 (6-pole motor, speed 980r/min) and DK40-8 (8-pole motor, speed 730r/min); model numbers range from 15# to 26#
Typical parameters (series range):
o Air volume: 2.0 – 164.2 m³/s; for DK40-6 15#, it is 18.2 – 43.6 m³/s
o Total pressure: 38 – 3819 Pa; for DK40-6 15#, it is 382 – 1690 Pa
o Power: 2×37 kW for DK40-6 15#; series range 1.1 – 500 kW
o Static pressure efficiency: 86%; noise ≤ 85 dB (A) (at 3m)

Performance features of DK40 Mine Axial Flow Fan and Main Mine Fan:
1. High efficiency and energy saving: Tri-dimensional flow design + direct drive transmission, high operating efficiency, and significant long-term power savings.
2. Stable and safe: Anti-surge steady flow ring, no risk of shaft breakage; resistant to impact, suitable for complex underground environments.
3. Flexible and adjustable: Adjustable blade angle, adaptable to different periods of air volume / air pressure requirements in the mine.
4. Simple installation and maintenance: Compact structure, low civil construction cost; direct drive design reduces transmission faults and maintenance requirements.
DK40 Mine Axial Flow Fan – Application Scenarios for Main Mine Ventilation Fans
• Ground main fans and underground auxiliary fans in metal and non-metal mines; core fans in multi-stage ventilation systems; ventilation in tunnels and civil air defense projects.
• Can be installed on the ground or directly placed in underground fan stations.
