New generation K40 series of mine energy-saving fans
1. Overview
The new generation of K and DK series of mine energy-saving fans is designed based on the original mine energy-saving fans through technical improvements, structural enhancements, performance improvements, and an expansion of the model range. This series of fans features higher operational efficiency, lower noise levels, a broader performance range, and more significant energy-saving effects. Additionally, a steady flow ring device is installed inside the main air duct, ensuring the fan can operate stably under any resistance conditions without a hump in the performance curve.
To expand the performance range of this series of mine axial flow fans and meet the needs of various large, medium, and small non-coal mines, allowing for the selection of main fans, auxiliary fans, and multi-stage fan stations operating in the high-efficiency zone for low, medium, and high resistance and large, medium, and small air volume ventilation networks, this series of fans adopts two hub ratios of 0.40 and 0.45, and two structural types of single and counter-rotating, thus being divided into four types: K40, K45, DK40, and DK45. Moreover, K40 uses 4, 6, and 8-pole motors for three speeds, K45 uses 4 and 6-pole motors for two speeds, and DK40 and DK45 both use 6 and 8-pole motors for two speeds.
In this way, each model number combined with two hub ratios, two structural types, and three speeds in a certain way results in a total of 93 specifications for this series of fans.
The performance range and main technical parameters of the new generation K series and DK series of mine energy-saving fans without hump are shown in Table 2 and Table 3 respectively. The listed reference weights in the tables include the motor and diffuser as the complete unit weight.
The structural diagrams and external dimensions of the K40 and K45 series fans are shown in Figure 6 and Table 6, Table 7 respectively.

2. Application of Mine exhaust fan K40 mining axial flow fanK4n0 Mine Exhaust Fa

This series of fans is specially designed for the ventilation needs of various non-coal mines such as metallurgy, non-ferrous metals, gold, chemical industry, building materials, and nuclear industry. They can be used as main fans or auxiliary fans, and can be installed on the surface or underground. They are suitable for multi-fan combined operation and are ideal for each stage of multi-fan series multi-stage ventilation systems. They are also applicable for ventilation and air exchange in large workshops, tunnels, and civil air defense projects.

3. Features of Mine exhaust fan K40 mining axial flow fan
(1) Twisted wing-shaped blades are adopted, with high aerodynamic efficiency and significant energy-saving effects.
(2) Diverse performance and complete specifications, which can be well matched with various resistance and air volume types of ventilation networks, maintaining long-term efficient operation.
(3) Equipped with a steady flow ring device, the characteristic curve has no hump. There is no risk of surging, and it can operate safely and stably under any resistance conditions, and is suitable for multi-fan combined operation.
(4) The structure of direct connection between the motor and the impeller is adopted, with good overall stability, easy installation and maintenance, and low local resistance of the device. Compared with belt and long shaft transmission, it has higher transmission efficiency, no transmission faults, no risk of shaft breakage, and slight foundation settlement and sliding do not affect normal operation.
(5) Compact structure and good moisture-proof performance. The fan body is made of steel plates and steel sections welded together, and the blades are made of steel plates, hollow, with high blade and overall strength, strong resistance to underground explosion shock waves, suitable for installation on the surface and underground, especially suitable for use as a station fan in multi-stage ventilation systems.
(6) Reverse rotation and reverse air flow are possible, with a reverse air flow rate greater than 60%, and no need to build reverse air ducts.
(7) The installation angle of the blades is adjustable, allowing for adjustment of the fan operating conditions according to changes in mine production.
(8) The civil engineering workload is small, saving a lot of investment.
(9) Low noise.

4.Mine exhaust fan K40 mining axial flow fan Diffuser
When K and DK series of energy-saving fans for mines are used as main fans or station fans, they should be equipped with dedicated diffusers. When surface main fans are equipped with diffusers, part of the dynamic pressure can be converted into static pressure, reducing the dynamic pressure loss at the outlet to achieve energy-saving purposes. When underground fans are equipped with diffusers, they can not only reduce the local resistance coefficient but also lower the dynamic pressure value at the diffuser outlet, thereby significantly reducing the local resistance of the fan device and saving ventilation power consumption.
