Precautions for starting a centrifugal blower
I. Pre-start Inspection for Centrifugal Blowers
Check the oil level: The lubricating oil level should be at 1/2 to 2/3 of the sight glass, with clear oil quality without emulsification or impurities.
Check the cooling system: The cooling water should be flowing smoothly, with normal water temperature and pressure, and no leakage.
Check the valves: The outlet valve should be fully closed, the inlet valve fully open, and the vent / bypass valve fully open.
Rotate the shaft manually: Rotate the shaft for 2 to 3 turns, without sticking, friction, or abnormal sounds.
Electrical and instrumentation: Confirm that the motor insulation is qualified, and the instruments, alarms, and interlocks are normally put into use.
Clean the site: There should be no debris around the machine body, and the safety protection devices should be in good condition.
II. Key Points for Starting the Centrifugal Blower
First, perform a test run by starting it briefly to confirm the correct rotation direction, without abnormal sounds or severe vibrations.
Start the machine fully, wait until the motor reaches the rated speed, and then slowly open the outlet valve.
Prohibited actions: Start with load (the outlet valve is not closed), frequent start-stop, or running without load for an extended period.
III. Monitoring after Starting the Centrifugal Blower
The current should not exceed the rated value.
Vibration and bearing temperature should be within the allowable range.
There should be no leakage or abnormal noise.
The pressure and flow should be gradually adjusted to the process requirements.
