Titanium fans, also known as anti-corrosion titanium centrifugal fans for chemical industries, utilize new materials such as titanium due to its excellent corrosion resistance properties, unaffected by atmospheric conditions or seawater.
Titanium fans, also known as anti-corrosion titanium centrifugal fans for chemical industries, utilize new materials such as titanium due to its excellent corrosion resistance properties, unaffected by atmospheric conditions or seawater. At room temperature, it remains uncorroded by dilute hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid, nitric acid, or dilute alkali solutions. To enhance titanium's corrosion resistance, surface treatment technologies such as oxidation, electroplating, plasma spraying, ion nitriding, ion implantation, and laser processing have been developed, which strengthen the protective oxide film on titanium, achieving the desired corrosion resistance effects. Titanium fans are designed for applications involving sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, methylamine solution, high-temperature moist chlorine gas, and high-temperature chlorides, among others. They feature a series of corrosion-resistant titanium alloys including titanium-molybdenum, titanium-palladium, and titanium-molybdenum-nickel alloys. For environments prone to crevice or pitting corrosion, titanium-32% molybdenum alloy is used, while titanium-0.3% molybdenum-0.8% nickel alloy or titanium-0.2% palladium alloy is applied locally to titanium equipment, all yielding excellent performance. Titanium fans exhibit superior heat resistance, with new titanium alloy fans capable of long-term use at temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius or higher. Titanium has excellent heat resistance with a melting point of 1668 degrees Celsius. At room temperature, titanium can remain undamaged in various strong acids and bases, including aqua regia, and has a strength three times that of stainless steel. Titanium fans are widely used in metallurgy, petrochemicals, chlor-alkali, papermaking, salt production, pharmaceuticals, and other industries.
1. The fan is designed as a single suction type. Sizes range from No. 2.8 to 29.
2. Each type of fan can also be manufactured in either left rotation or right rotation versions. From the viewpoint of the motor side, if the impeller rotates clockwise, it is called a right-hand fan, denoted by 'right'; if counterclockwise, it is called a left-hand fan, denoted by 'left'.
3. The outlet angle of the fan is indicated by the angle of the casing's outlet.
4. The transmission methods for the fan are:
A-type: Direct coupling to the motor
B-type and C-type: Belt drive
D-type: Coupling drive
A-type fans consist of the casing, inlet, impeller, frame, adjustable inlet damper (depending on customer needs), and motor. B, C, and D types include additional transmission parts. Before leaving the factory, the fans undergo rigorous testing to ensure vibration levels meet national standards. For sizes No. 18 and above, the entire frame is purchased based on customer requirements (typically using concrete foundations).
Casing: Made from titanium plates, it is robust and reliable, available in either integral or semi-open designs. The semi-open design facilitates maintenance. Sizes below No. 14 are generally integral, while sizes No. 14 and above are typically semi-open.
Impeller: Composed of blades, a curved front disc, and a flat rear disc welded together. It should undergo static and dynamic balancing to ensure smooth operation and good performance.
Transmission section: Includes the main shaft, bearing housing, rolling bearings, and pulley (or coupling). The transmission is equipped with a water cooling system to reduce bearing temperature and extend service life.
Inlet: Welded from steel plates into a conical shape, forming a streamlined convergent structure located on the side of the fan, with a curved cross-section intersecting the axial plane, allowing gases to enter the impeller smoothly with minimal loss.
Adjustable inlet damper: Installed at the front of the inlet, used to adjust the airflow volume when the fan speed (pressure) remains constant.
Entire frame: Welded from channels and steel plates, providing strong, stable, and durable construction.
Motor: Uses motors from reputable manufacturers with copper cores, usually defaulting to 3-level efficiency motors. Customizable options include frequency conversion motors, explosion-proof motors, and motors with efficiency levels above 2.
