The structure and characteristics of the axial flow fan for the cooling system of the rotary kiln
The axial flow fan for the cooling system of the rotary kiln furnace is a key equipment used for cooling the kiln. It uses axial flow of air to remove the heat from the kiln body, ensuring the normal operation of the kiln and the lifespan of the equipment.
Here is a detailed introduction about it:
Working principle: The impeller of the cooling axial flow fan rotates at high speed under the drive of the motor. The blades push the air to flow axially, giving the air kinetic energy. The air enters through the intake port of the fan, is accelerated by the impeller, and is discharged from the outlet port. A high-speed airflow is formed, and this airflow is directed towards the surface of the rotary kiln furnace to absorb the heat from the kiln body, thereby achieving the purpose of cooling the kiln.
Structural features: The axial flow fan of the rotary kiln furnace is composed of a trolley, a bracket, a fan, a direction adjustment device, a wind tube, and a nozzle. The fan part consists of the main wind tube, a fan wheel assembly, a fan wheel adjustment ring, a fan wheel cover, a diverter, and an air inlet.
Performance requirements: When the rotary kiln furnace is in operation, it generates high temperatures. Therefore, the fan is required to operate stably in a high-temperature environment. Generally, it needs to be able to withstand an intake air temperature of around 60℃. At the same time, in order to effectively cool the kiln, the fan needs to provide a large air volume and appropriate air pressure to ensure sufficient cold air for heat exchange with the surface of the kiln body.
Common Problems and Solutions: The cooling axial flow fans of traditional rotary kiln furnaces have problems such as high noise and poor cooling effect. This is because the high-speed air flowing into the fan’s suction port generates suction noise, and the friction between the blades and the air produces dynamic noise. At the same time, the absorbed heat from the kiln body and the small cooling area result in low cooling efficiency. These problems can be solved by installing noise reduction devices, optimizing the design of the air ducts, and increasing the cooling area.
