The kiln exhaust fan is a critical piece of equipment in the kiln system, primarily used to extract flue gases from the kiln, regulate internal pressure and temperature, etc.
Exhaust Gas Emission: It extracts combustion-generated waste gases such as carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides from the kiln and sends them to dust removal, desulfurization, and denitrification systems to reduce environmental pollution.
Pressure Control: It regulates the internal pressure of the kiln, maintaining a slight positive or negative pressure to prevent the intrusion of external cold air or the overflow of high-temperature flue gases, thereby improving the operation quality and efficiency of the kiln.
Heat Recovery: Some exhaust fans work with waste heat boilers or heat exchangers to recover thermal energy from high-temperature flue gases, which can be used for preheating air, heating materials, or generating steam, thus reducing the kiln's energy consumption.
Centrifugal Exhaust Fan: It has high wind pressure and can overcome significant system resistance, such as that of flue ducts and dust collectors, making it widely used in kiln exhaust systems. Common models include Y5-47, Y5-48, Y8-39, and Y9-38.
Axial Flow Exhaust Fan: It features large airflow, low noise, and easy installation. Some axial flow exhaust fans can replace centrifugal fans in kiln exhaust systems, such as the WZF-I series high-temperature axial flow exhaust fans specifically designed for brick kilns, which are more energy-efficient than centrifugal fans.
Airflow: Generally between 5000-300000 m³/h, depending on the size of the kiln and process requirements.
Wind Pressure: Typically ranges from 1000-9000 Pa, ensuring sufficient pressure to overcome system resistance.
Power: Depending on the airflow and wind pressure, the power range is from 11 kW to 630 kW.
Due to the harsh working environment of the kiln, the exhaust fan must have properties such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance. Ordinary exhaust fans are typically made of carbon steel, which can withstand temperatures up to 250°C. High-temperature exhaust fans often use materials like manganese steel, stainless steel, or high-nickel alloys, capable of withstanding flue gas temperatures of 400-600°C.
