The core material of high-temperature centrifugal fans depends on the temperature range. Different temperatures correspond to different materials, structures, and sealing solutions. Below are the most direct selection conclusions for each temperature range, and you can directly refer to them for use.
1. Normal temperature to 80℃
Common materials for high-temperature centrifugal fans: Q235, Q355 (A3 steel, 16Mn)
Application: General ventilation, boiler blower G4-73, air conditioning supply
Features: Low cost, sufficient strength, no need for heat treatment
2. 80℃ to 200℃
Common materials: Q355 (16Mn), 15CrMo
Application: Hot air circulation, drying line, general boiler draft
Features: Good heat resistance creep performance, less prone to deformation
3. 200℃ to 350℃
Common materials for high-temperature centrifugal fans: 15CrMo, 12Cr1MoV
Application: Boiler draft fan Y4-73, kiln exhaust, high-temperature flue gas
Features: Special heat-resistant steel, stable high-temperature strength
4. 350℃ to 600℃
Common materials for high-temperature centrifugal fans: 304 (0Cr18Ni9), 321, 316L
Application: Chemical high-temperature exhaust gas, incinerator, high-temperature hot air
Features: Stainless steel with excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance
5. 600℃ to 900℃
Common materials: 310S (2520), GH3030/GH3044 high-temperature alloys

2. Selection of different components’ materials for high-temperature centrifugal fans (whole machine matching)
Blade: The higher the temperature, the more necessary to select heat-resistant steel / stainless steel, and perform dynamic balance + heat treatment
Casing: The same as the blade temperature grade, can be slightly lower one grade
Shaft: For high-temperature sections, 40Cr, 42CrMo, 15CrMo should be prioritized
Bearing box: Normal temperature parts, Q235 is sufficient, high-temperature fans must be equipped with water cooling jacket
Sealing parts:
≤250℃: asbestos packing, fluororubber
>250℃: metal labyrinth seal, carbon ring seal
3. Additional selection for corrosion environments of high-temperature centrifugal fans
Acid and alkali-containing flue gas: 316L > 304 > carbon steel
Containing chloride ions: strictly prohibit 304, must be 316L/2205 duplex steel
High dust abrasion: add wear-resistant lining, wear-resistant ceramics

Temperature > 200℃: must use water-cooled bearing box
Temperature > 300℃: add heat insulation shaft sleeve, expansion joint
