Product Description

Desulfurization fans are used to overcome the flue gas resistance of desulfurization (FGD) equipment, to introduce raw flue gas into the desulfurization system, and to stabilize the pressure at the outlet of the boiler induced draft fan. The main function is to reduce the concentration of sulfur dioxide in the flue gas, achieving air purification. In processes such as wet desulfurization, they are also used to provide oxidation air, promoting the oxidation of sulfites to form stable sulfates, which is beneficial for subsequent treatment and discharge. They are widely applied in the flue gas desulfurization systems of power plants, steel mills, chemical plants, and other industrial fields, and are also used in industrial wastewater treatment, pneumatic conveying, and oxygenation aeration areas.

Working principle

When the motor drives the main shaft through a coupling or pulley, the gear on the main wheel drives the gear on the driven wheel to rotate synchronously in opposite directions, causing the meshing rotors to rotate accordingly, thus forming a space between the casing and the rotor. Gas enters the space from the intake port, is compressed, and is expelled from the exhaust port by the rotor, continuously moving to achieve the purpose of forced ventilation.

Types of desulfurization fans

Generally, there are three types: centrifugal, adjustable blade axial flow, and fixed blade axial flow.

Operating characteristics

They have low head, high flow rate, and low rotational speed. When installing desulfurization equipment, the boiler supply and induced draft fans cannot overcome the flue gas resistance of the FGD, so desulfurization fans must be set up.

Desulfurization fan common types

Roots desulfurization fan: mainly consists of impeller, casing, inlet and outlet flanges, and motor, capable of outputting large exhaust volume, suitable for high pressure difference and large flow scenarios, featuring small size, stable operation, high exhaust pressure, and easy maintenance.
