Gas Inlet: When the impeller starts rotating, the gas at the center of the impeller is thrown towards the outer edge of the impeller, causing the pressure at the center of the impeller to decrease and form a negative pressure area. External gas is then drawn into the center of the impeller under the effect of atmospheric pressure through the inlet port.
Gas Acceleration: The gas entering the impeller is accelerated along the curved surface of the blades due to the force exerted by the blades, and simultaneously, it is thrown towards the outer edge of the impeller under the effect of centrifugal force, increasing the kinetic energy of the gas.
Gas Discharge: The gas that has been accelerated and thrown towards the outer edge of the impeller enters the volute. Inside the volute, the gas gradually decelerates, converting its kinetic energy into pressure energy, which is then discharged from the outlet of the fan.
Impeller: As the core component of the fan, it is usually made of stainless steel welded together and undergoes precise dynamic balance correction for smooth operation with minimal vibration. After forming, the impeller needs to undergo static and dynamic balance correction and overspeed testing to ensure its stability and reliability during high-speed rotation.
Volute: Generally made of high-quality stainless steel plates welded into a volute shape, its function is to collect the gas thrown out by the impeller and convert the kinetic energy of the gas into pressure energy. Some volutes also have heat-resistant linings to enhance the fan's high-temperature resistance.
Motor: Provides power for the fan's operation, typically using motors with high protection levels and good insulation properties to adapt to different working environments. The motor is connected to the main shaft of the fan via couplings or pulleys, driving the impeller to rotate.
Drive Assembly: Composed of the main shaft, bearing housing, cooling device, etc. The main shaft is made of high-quality steel, precision-turned and tempered, providing high strength and wear resistance. The bearing housing supports the main shaft and ensures its rotational accuracy. Some fans are equipped with water-cooled bearing housings to reduce bearing temperature and extend bearing life.
Support Frame: Used to support the overall structure of the fan, ensuring its stability. For large fans, the support frame also has vibration-damping performance to minimize vibrations and noise generated during fan operation.
